What I'll Miss
When school is all said and done, when i step into the real world, what will I miss from the day to day grind of high school? First, I will miss spending time with my friends every day. I'll also miss the constant busying of myself; school gave me something to do. Finally, up until now school has been all that my life is about, it is all that I have ever done, thus I'll miss the lack of responsibility, and of course the school trips.

Social networking sites can be, and have been very useful for social interaction. Twitter is a fairly new social network that allows one to follow someones actions from minute to minute, (being that the user is updating constantly.) It is a fan service that allows people to follow news services and people alike. Facebook and Google are attempting to tap into this new resource to gather an even larger gathering, and more money.

SPADES
Spades is a card game that can be played in two people or four people in pairs of two. Played with a standard 52 card deck. Spades is always trump. Other suits have no intrinsic value during play, but a card of the suit led in the current trick will beat a card of any other suit except a Spade. If a tiebreaker is needed in a draw for deal, the most common suit order from low to high is Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, Spades. Rank of cards (descending): Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. The object of the game Score the most points; points are accrued by winning at least the number of tricks (also known as "books") bid in each hand, and are lost by failing to take at least that many (or in some cases by taking too many). During building a player can call a nil, which means to take none. If a player takes any tricks while trying to achieve a nil they lose the value of the nil from their score; a nil is worth 50 points. The game is won when a player/team scores 500 points...

HURRAY PARKOUR
Due to recent adventures of mine I have grown to enjoy a particularly fun, yet dangerous hobby. Even though parkour is technically neither a hobby, nor a sport, it is fun none the less. Parkour is the philosophy that any obstacle can be concerned, through proper technique and in an efficient manor. Parkour is simply to move through ones environment in the most efficient manor (usually neglecting the paths laid out.) Due to this change in mindset, everything looks just a little smaller (figuratively of course.) Thus traveling from place to place on foot is much faster than it once was.

Time Capsule 2109
If my class was to make a time capsule and place items, representing who we are, in it so that people in 2109 could view; I would put a list of our names, talents, and what makes us, us. So that in 100 years people will be able to look back and see what we are, or in their case were, like...

Who's Watching The Watchmen?!

Arguably one of the greatest graphic novels of all time, the Watchmen has recently been transferred onto the big screen. In my personal, and analytical, opinion I personally enjoyed the movie. Though having read the book, I was very disappointed in some of the pains that came with the transfer.
Some of the simple, yet major details were changed completely. (I will not state them because I don't wish to spoil the movie for anyone who has yet to see it.) However, major plot twist were altered, and an eventual outcome with one character was changed. Even though, I must say that the characters were very well represented. (SPOILER ALERT!!!) Rorschach's death was more emotional and dramatic in the movie than in the comic. Jackie Earle Haley did a PERFECT rendition. Movie go-ers were both in a sense repulsed by him, yet felt deeply sorry for him, and by the end fell in love with the very misunderstood hero.
Billy Crudup did an exceptional job as Dr. Manhattan, and Patrick Wilson did so as the second Night Owl. Mathew Goode's performance as Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias was amazing even though, without a doubt, Jackie Earle Haley's performance was undoubtedly the best and may even be Oscar worthy.

The Best Book
The best book I have ever read would have to be Stephan Kings, The Long Walk. Written under his initial pen-name, Richard Bachman, The Long Walk is about a boy who enters into a competition where a group of young men are to walk on a designated path until there is only one still alive...But the best book series I have ever enjoyed is the Twilight series...

My Weekend
My weekend was rather bland. I played pep band at our school's homecoming game on Friday then slept. Saturday I worked a double shift and thus did nothing of significance. And on Sunday I worked from 7-11:30 and then just played video games all day.

Blogging
Blogging is a new way to interact with the world around you by expressing one's opinion freely, and for others to rebuttal. This is a great tool for teaching communication and intelligent expression. Also blogging is a great way to meet new people online, because people who like your blog, or dislike it, can comment and speak with you concerning the issues that you blog about.

The Best "Vacation"
Well the best "vacation" I have ever been on would have to be this Monday, Feb 2, when I went with my friends Cory and Blake to see Slipknot. Words cannot describe how amazing the experience was. In the words of Cory Nash "PURE AWESOMENESS!"

Homecoming
What I like about Homecoming is that most everyone gets together to show pride in something common. What's not so great about this event is that after the dance is held in our high school gym. Which doesn't mean it's not fun. Someone can still mingle with friends and converse about whatever. Sadly, however, no-one really dances so it's more like a little get-together.

My Favorite...
My favorite television series has to be 'Family Guy.' The random jokes and occasional slander, mixed with extreme sarcasm and strange cast of characters, makes it a hysterical cartoon. I would recommend to anyone who is mildly cultured, because if one is to watch it and not know a lot about the world around him/her, then most of the jokes go unnoticed.

GLOBAL WARMING
I do believe that global warming is occurring. However, it will not be the death of us. It is a completely natural thing that occurs every some-odd thousand years. The warming is more extreme because well, our planet is MORE POPULATED. Also because of people who have to drive their big pointless vehicles with no one else with them.

Dinner
If I could take one person of my choosing, famous or not, to dinner tonight I would take Kate Beckinsale. For multiple reason, but mostly she is one of the best actresses of our time. I would be interested to know more about the Underworld series, and if there are any plans to further the series.

The Nicest Thing
I cannot tell you the nicest thing that i have ever done for someone, for my memory fails to remember what the stand alone kindest is. However, i can tell what the nicest thing anyone has done for me is. To my memory, which often times is short spanned, the nicest thing that has been done for me is that my friend, who shall remain anonymous, has offered me $20,000, no strings attached, for tuition at the Illinois Institute of Art.

The Pink Panther
My favorite cartoon of all time would have to be the pink panther. Not only did it involve an elusive cat, but it also contains a moronic imbecile of an investigator. Also it had an amazing theme song.

Fame
If I could be famous for one thing, it would be for my art. I would love nothing more than to be world reknowned for a new way of expressing one's self through art. For it has always been my dream to be a famous artist. But that's all I've got for today
